5 Free Android Dating Apps That Are Worth Your Time
Dating apps can sometimes be a hit or miss situation. Many people who use them aren’t actually as interested in dating and flirting as much as they are a one night fling. Still, there are some good ones out there that actually produce real results for singles looking to meet others for fun, flirting and romance. We had a little fun and tried out a bunch of Android dating apps and found 5 that we thought did the job better. Below we rank and review them.
5 Best FREE Android Dating Apps
1. Match
We’re picking Match as the number one dating app because of simple results. Relationship for relationship and date for date, Match.com has produced more than any other dating site or app.
The app works the same way that Match.com does. It is free to browse member profiles, create a profile, view your daily matches and let someone know you’re interested by “winking” at them.
The app has 3.7 out of 5 Stars on the Android Market review boards with 5,758 total reviews.
2. Badoo
Badoo is pretty bad ass. It is the largest, location based, social networking app for meeting new people and dating than any other. There are more than 130 million people who are already using Badoo to meet, date and flirt with people in their areas.
There is no filter system because it’s totally free but the app is so user friendly we had to put it near the top of the list. Badoo dating app for Android has received 4.6 out of 5 stars with more 36, 400 people reviewing.
3. POF
POF is short for “Plenty of Fish” and is the world’s largest online dating site. It has 32 million users and is totally FREE to use. That being said, when a subscription isn’t required to be able to send emails (as in the case of Match and eHarmony) then there really isn’t a filter.
People love POF, though, and the dating app is really good. We just don’t like the “free for all” nature of the dating site itself. The app flows smoothly and operates correctly 99% of the time.
The app has a 4.0 out of % star rating from 9,040 reviewers.
4. eHarmony
As stated above, this does require a paid subscription to actually contact a person via an email but the basic features, including letting others know that you’re interested are FREE.
The main issue people tend to have with this Android dating app is that it stores pictures of profiles you’ve visited and becomes huge memory hog.
The app gets a flat 3.0 out of 5 Stars on the Android review section with 3,071 people giving their opinion.
5. OkCupid Dating
Out of all the Android dating apps that we reviewed, this app OkCupid Dating has the most positive feedback in the remarks sections but not as high a rating as Badoo. OkCupid Dating receives 4 stars with over 13,000 reviews sent in on the Android market review section.
OkCupid Dating is more social network than the other sites as you can broadcast your status. Again, though, it’s totally free so while very wallet friendly there is really no filter from who can contact you. You can do custom searches for specifics or just let OkCupid Dating do the matchmaking for you.
