Availability

Gonnabe is compatible with all iOS systems including iPad, iPhone and iPod. It requires iOS 6.0 or a later version to function properly and is optimised for iPhone 5. On the Android side, the app runs on Android 2.2 or higher.

EventBay is now available on the Android version only, unlike Gonnabe. For all iOs users, a launch in the iOS seems imminent in the near future.

Cost

Users need not shed out any money as both the apps are free.  Eventbay though currently shows events only in US and Canada.

Gonnabe helps people connect more easily being a social media social networking app. It surely makes life much simpler and lucid. The app has on offer relevant real time and location based data which is far more useful than any other platform. The app has a data partnership with Ticketmaster and LiveNation which allows people to buy tickets easily.

Both the apps can help you locate events. While Gonnabe helps you connect easily to other people and know what is going on around the town, EventBay is a specialized event searching app. Gonnabe is better suited for casual activities. It is an open network but can also be a closed one. The user can choose who gets involved in the process. Gonnabe is more about planning for future events in a few hours or maybe tonight, tomorrow or the weekend.

Eventbay on the other hand, is a more convenient, interactive app designed to make you remember events and know what is going on around town. Eventbay is a better app for searching events and is available free on Google Play. It helps classify events into categories and uncovers the best events for its users. Push notifications feature allows you to stay connected, and helps your friends opt into your plans without even subscribing to the app.
