World of Goo has been around for a while and its entertaining and challenging game play was destined to be played as an Android app on your smart phones. Now available on the Android Market, it brings all the fun and years of game play on platforms such as Wii and the Ipad where it received Game of the Year honors on both platforms.
The premise is this: There are millions of Goo Balls who live in the World of Goo. They are quite curious to explore their world-however, they don’t know that they are in a game. Oh, and they’re extremely tasty!
To us this game reminds of a bright, new and ultra-modern Tetris. If you didn’t like Tetris don’t let that intimidate you. It also has some SimCity in it as well. You build and build until you can’t build any more-all with the cool little Balls of Goo. And, oddly enough, the trailer reminds us a lot of The Nightmare Before Christmas well. Watch it and tell us we’re wrong!
The player takes the squirming balls of Goo and drags and drops them into living structures, zeppelins, bridges, cannonballs and more.

Here are some comments from Android Reviewers About World Of Goo:
“Fantastic game. had played this on my PC when it came and always thought it would be great for smartphones. the music is well composed and there is actually a story behind the puzzles. Played on the Galaxy sII. sometimes it crashes but doesn’t bother me that much. hopefully they fix it”
One word of warning: Some users have issues using the game on older Android smartphones. It is recommended that if you use and older phone that you download and sample the free demo first.
Final Analysis: Quirky enough to be awesome. Challenging enough to require strategy. More fun than any other game we’re playing right now. There is not another game out there that can offer all of these things in one. World of Goo is a must get!
